This sounds very much like problem based learning where students are given a case and they have to diagnose the situation and develop ideas for care. Is this how you use these groups in your classroom?
Yes Ros this is problem based learning. I think the students can learn a lot if they work in saml groups whit cases and all groups will find different proposals and solutions to the problem. Then we later discuss it with the whole class they can learn from eatch other.
